What's in a Name?

Our firm was founded on our family’s history of investing and entrepreneurship. It is a legacy that we proudly continue today.

Our name comes from Timber Creek Township in central Iowa where our ancestors set down roots as farmers and businessmen around 1850. We continue to have a farm there today.

For our family, investing in the public markets began after World War II out of an intention to diversify and participate in the growth of good businesses. We are now in the fourth generation of entrepreneurship and prudent investing in the financial markets.
